Miracles do come true...

In our day to day living, we encountered challenges that we perceived as too difficult..too unfair..too much. I am one of those who thought the thought, so to speak. I almost gave up, almost but never did.
As I watched friends go through their share of challenges, I can only offer prayers in the hope that they are strong enough to get through it and emerged from it, a better person. We may have battle scars but it eventually it will be one of our prized memories to show to our grandchildren some day.
Why do I say so? Because I know so. Let me share with you one of my miraculous encounters and then you tell me if I am right all along. That sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were to go through our life without any obstacles, we would be crippled. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. Give every opportunity a chance, leave no room for regrets.
Here is my story:
My eldest child was diagnosed with meningitis and that the seizures she experienced was due to the virus slowly eating her brain...brain tests were done, medications were given, and for the first 3 years of her life we were always in the hospital; she was bald, with slurred speech and back then she was attached to many tubes for breathing, for meds, for food. Chances are her brain will turn hydrocephalus and she will be a vegetable.
By faith she is now well..very well! Some part of her brain were eaten so it's no longer there but we were lucky it's only the psychomotor part- the one that controls movements. In time her neurologist noticed that parts of her brain are coordinating to support her in simple movements like walking, picking something and eventually even in running. Today, my Dannieca Jazz is already 16, in 4th year highschool and is active in both curricular and extra activities. To date, the baby who almost became a vegetable is now one of the participants in Cagayan de Oro City's annual street dancing competition!!! Among my four babies, she is the one with the brightest smile and a lending hand. A good ate and along with my second born child Rain, the two of them are helping to take care of their 2 little sisters while their dad and I are here in Cebu working.
So believe me when i say, in time all things will fall into place...Take care always my friends!
